12. Bay Restoration: Youth Engagement and Service Learning in East Oakland
Consideration and Authorization to disburse up to $99,173 to Planting Justice to: 1) develop a curriculum for training youth interns through a series of ten workshops; 2) conduct the workshops to train approximately 20 youth interns in environmental justice issues and San Francisco Bay habitat restoration techniques; and 3) lead the youth interns in shoreline cleanup, invasive plant removal, and habitat restoration work at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline in Alameda County.
