Consideration and authorization to disburse up to $800,000 to the City of Alameda to complete a master plan, 30% design plans, and a community stewardship program for De-Pave Park in Alameda County to provide for the park to have a range of habitats, from subtidal and tidal to upland, and public access amenities. 12. Baylands Habitat Restoration and Community Engagement in East Palo Alto
Authorization to disburse up to $688,016 to Grassroots Ecology to restore and enhance marsh-upland transition zone habitat along the San Francisco Bay Trail in Ravenswood Open Space Preserve and at Cooley Landing, work with East Palo Alto-based community groups to provide restoration training and organize stewardship events, and hire local young adults for restoration internships in San Mateo County. 13. SAFER Bay Planning Project
Authorization to disburse up to $1,000,000 to the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority to conduct planning, perform data collection and analysis, develop design plans, and prepare program-level and project-level California Environmental Quality Act documentation for the Strategy to Advance Flood Protection, Ecosystems and Recreation along San Francisco Bay (SAFER Bay) Planning Project in San Mateo County. 14. Regionally Advancing Living Shorelines Project
Consideration and authorization to disburse up to $500,000 to the San Francisco Estuary Institute for monitoring, preparation of guidance on programmatic permitting, and establishment of a framework for collaboration on development of living shoreline projects as part of the Regionally Advancing Living Shorelines in San Francisco Bay Project at 10 locations in the Central Bay in San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa and Marin counties.
