The Governing Board of the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority expressed their gratitude and appreciation for outgoing Board Member Sally Lieber with the adoption of Resolution Number 105, Honoring Sally Lieber for Her Leadership in Bay Restoration and Outstanding Service to the Authority.

 

In 2016, voters of the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area passed Measure AA, the San Francisco Bay Clean Water, Pollution Prevention and Habitat Restoration Measure. This measure is a parcel tax of $12 per year which raises approximately $25 million annually to fund shoreline projects that will protect and restore the Bay. The Governing Board of the Restoration Authority has awarded over $125 million in grants funded by Measure AA over the past five years, benefiting habitats and communities across the Bay Area.

Last week, the Board of the San Francisco Restoration Authority approved grants totaling over $7.5 million. for four restoration projects along the shores of San Francisco Bay.  The projects funded will advance the Authority's aim to create a clean and healthy bay, accessible to all.
